Road Safety 2
It was quite some time ago, now that i found out about this second piece of important info, in fact it was around the time i heard about ICE numbers.
It drives (no pun intended) me crazy to be behind a car with some stupid warning sign like ‘Baby on Board’ hanging down from it’s roof. What’s worse are those that also mention something about driving carefully. Is someone really suggesting that because they have a baby or small child in their car that i change my driving habits?
Anyway, i found out that the real reason for these types of signs are to alert emergency services of the presence of babies and small children in the event of an accident. A very good idea, so really i can’t justify feeling angry when i see these signs now. Though, there is no need for it to be hanging down the back, as long as it’s visible to anyone who might be checking your car after an accident. However, there is one other problem, if they are not removed when there is ‘No baby on board’ this could end up wasting the time of emergency services.
So my message is: I promise not to be annoyed by seeing such a sign as long as users promise to remove them when there is no young child on board.

Oh that is really interesting..i always wondered about the point of them too. How did you find out the official use of them? I feel my ‘little miss sunshine’ hanging air freshner might help identify who is in my car
